The City of El Paso’s Engineering Department oversees the planning and execution of public infrastructure while providing traffic and transportation management and Floodplain Administration within the city limits. The Department is committed to providing high quality services by a multi-faceted team dedicated to serving the community efficiently and with accountability.
Since every opportunity to maximize community assets and services is of critical importance, ongoing objectives of the Department include:

• Planning and execution oversight of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the City
• Enforcing compliance with municipal codes and City Standard Specifications and Requirements
• Providing pro-active floodplain administration
• Providing effective traffic engineering and transportation solutions in coordination with State and Federal agencies
